What Is Twerk Music and songs

Just last week we took a peek at the evolution of trap music and talked about how snare has started generating its sub-genres but this week, we want to take a bit more detailed look at one particular subdivision of snare that's been blowing: twerk songs. Twerk songs is based broadly on a particularly spicy flavor of known as 'bounce' music.

Bounce music has been around for more than two decades and is distinguished by call-and-response chants, hypersexual lyrics and two specific drum loops: the "brownish beat" along with the "triggerman beat." These beats ( much like the "amen" break in DnB) give a basis for the "bounce" sound with inherent bouncy grooves at mid-range dance tempos; a ideal blend of hip and dancing music.
